Findsingl.com is a Web address that some users have noticed popping up in their browsers as part of unwanted redirects. These are the typical consequences associated with having a browser hijacker present on a computer or device. Users need to note that most intrusive PUPs (Potentially Unwanted Programs) try to mask the fact that they are being installed. Typically, this is achieved via questionable tactics, such as shady software bundles or fake installers/updates.
When a browser hijacker has managed to sneak its way onto the user's machine, it will then proceed to establish control over the present Web browsers. In most cases, the application will target the homepage, new tab page, and the default search engine settings, modifying them to now lead to a promoted page. As a result, users will experience unwanted redirects to a previously unknown address, such as Findsingl.com, every time they launch the affected browser, open a new tab or use the browser's URL tab to start a Web search.
Unfortunately, applications classified as PUPs may possess additional functionalities. For example, the intrusive application may be silently collecting information in the background of the system. Users could have their browsing history, search history, IP address, geolocation, and many additional details packaged and then transmitted to the operators of the specific PUP. In some cases, the targeted data may even include account credentials, banking details or payment information extracted from autofill data of the affected browsers.
