Safesearch.top is a browser hijacker that redirects to a platform for searching purposes, meant to be served to the people of Israel and other locations. Straight away people may notice click bait articles into their websites, something that wasn't there before. Although there have been other browser hijackers of the same agenda, such as Effectivelocalsearch.com and Ezy-search.com aimed at Israeli citizens, their content is written in English. There are some examples of sites that contain words from the Hebrew language, specifically Eokomoko.online and Saerch.net. Safesearch.top has reached the position of 1,826 in popularity in Israel. Compared to other websites in the world, the domain has the 289,058 position at the time of writing this. The domain has been created on April 2017 so that it has had time to reach out its targeted users.
Since all the information on the website has been presented in the Hebrew language, researchers assume it is unlikely that users that speak or read other languages are likely to feel interested in exploring the platform for search queries. A very small amount of traffic also is generated by people located in Spain, according to research data. Looks like that there is a connection between the Search.clearch.org and Safesearch.top because it appears that the former sends traffic to the ladder. Third-party search platforms may be promoting this specific search platform so that it also could be used to promote specific search platforms. Users may be introduced to online advertisements, as well as the installation of browser extensions, desktop applications and add-ons.
Apart from referrals, online ads and other symptoms that can be noticed, there will be other features that users may miss. Many browser hijackers are made with the intent to monitor the online activities of the infected users and their machines. This is done in secret so that the users will be none the wiser. If you notice the presence of Safesearch.top on your computer, ensure that it is removed as soon as possible.
